THE LADY BIRD

Hello there,
I used Photoshop for this character.
It took me a bit time to adjust the bird's legs with the human body.. This was the "little challenge" here, to find the balance between the bird (flamingo) and the human.
You can see some close-ups on my web site's link :

hope you like it,
Many thanks for your time & happy new year,

MORNING SPRING

I used Photoshop for this fairy. Unfortunately, I had to crop the picture and cut out a part of the BG, otherwise it could not be entered here. You can see the entire picture on my web site's link : www.mysideworld.com

I named "Lucky-Redhair", cause she is a kind of lucky-charm fairy and brings good fortune to the one who discovers her.
I've associated this idea with the Spring.

ORANGE SUNSET

I used Photoshop for this portrait.

You can see the original rough drawing + painting review of this teen-fairy,on my website's link : http://web.mac.com/skolokouri/iWeb/MySideWorld/ORANGE%20SUNSET%20paiting%20review.html
It was a drawing among others in my animation Portfolio that I decided finally to paint it. The reference I used for the hand holding the orange is mine, the rest is from scratch.

THE GUARDIAN ANGEL

“Up in the sky, hidden between the highest clouds, there are guardian angels for each one of us. They tie back the “threads” of our lives, brought by their flying servants…”

I imagine the guardian angel’s servant could be a big bird like an eagle, transporting human’s wires symbolising the life’s length.

MOTHER NATURE

Humanity commits suicide by destroying its lungs, its health, its inheritance.

Mother Nature is praying for us.
She is praying for our sake, hoping one day we will finally succeed in living in harmony with our environment before it is too late. I’ve imagined a kind of Elf for Mother Nature. The rodent, the robin bird and the butterfly representing here the fauna life...

I created it with Photoshop.

LUNA

I used Photoshop for this little portrait.
This is a teen-fairy, Luna.
Actually I am writing a few fairy-stories that will form part of my future illustrated book. I would like to finalise a chapter only for fairies and their portraits. I started drawing a book on fairies a long time ago during my animation career, but finally this "project" was sold for a TV animated series and I could not finish the book...
Today I am writing something totally different with a less "cartoony style" and for a different target of course.

Robin, my little maid of honour

I used Photoshop for this picture.
I love painting birds, my favorite one is the robin. It’s so tiny and has a powerful sound. Here I painted it a bit bigger than in reality, so it can be seen better on the Bride’s shoulder…
